The GoPro HD Helmet Hero is one of the best waterproof video cameras on the market today. If you are into adventure sports and outdoor activities, this waterproof helmet video camera would be the perfect choice for you. The GoPro HD hero has all of the a basic functions and features that you would expect from a top-of-the-line video camera. This waterproof video camera will allow you to do your sport in comfort without having to worry about the quality of the video or the condition of the camera.

The GoPro HD Helmet Hero allows a user to the video with professional grade full HD video up to 1080 P. This 1080 P. resolution can be set by entering in the menu on the backside of the camera. In fairness to the user, the back video menu for this camera is a little bit awkward and does require a redesign in my humble opinion. So, after the user sets of 1080 P. resolution, you can film at a 127° angle for up to 2 1/2 hours if you have a 32 gig number card. Anything less than that for 32 gig memory card, will shorten your potential recording time.

In addition to the 1080 P. video resolution and capabilities, this camera can also do still shots. You can set this camera up to do consistent and constant still shut taking while you’re doing your scheme or snowboarding. The still shots or of the highest resolution. Personally, I think it would be great to deal with such are camera and take consistent shots while you’re doing the jump or launching air.One of the nice features about this camera is also the 170° angle video capturing capabilities. This wide-angle lens allows you to film just about everything in your periphery. Of course as mentioned above, if your film and at 1080 P. your wide-angle viewing will decrease down to approximately 127°.

This camera also comes with the mounts for attaching the camera to virtually any helmet so you don’t have to worry about figuring out how you can attach it. The six mounts that come with this camera should allow you to connect to just about any helmet that you have. The other item that comes with this camera is a rechargeable lithium ion battery which will last for approximately 2.5 hours of consistent recording.

Some of the downsides to this camera hard that the menu items are hard to read. If you look at the back of the camera where you set your video or camera settings, the screen is a little archaic and kind of hard to read the options. Also, I haven’t noticed this but some users have complained that the sound quality was weak or difficult to distinguish the sounds that she wanted to record from the environmental sounds. Interesting to note, GoPro mentions that they worked diligently on creating the best sound quality video camera possible so you will just have to find out for yourself on this one but note that it could be an issue for you.

So in summary the GoPro HD helmet hero is one of the best outdoor waterproof video cameras available. Its versatility, functionality, and relatively inexpensive price make it the perfect option for anyone doing mountain biking, snow skiing or just about any other outdoor activity that they wish to record. The GoPro HD helmet hero allows the user to also go underwater and video up to approximately 180 feet deep. But it’s probably best not to test this function and stay at a depth less than 120 feet deep. This camera has my Highest Recommendation

Body and Design : The Kodak EasyShare Sport C123 comes in three colours-red,blue and gray. The size of the camera is 2.6 inches by 3.6 inches by 1.2 inches making it a little bulky for a pocket camera. Nonetheless, the camera has a sporty look to it. The front of the camera has the lens, the flash and the grip with a rubber strip which makes the camera easier to hold. The shutter,power, flash toogle and the mode button are located at the top of the camera. The mode button is used to switch between video and image. The bottom of the camera holds host to the two AA batteries, a micros USB port and the SD card slot. The back of the camera has black,rubbery buttons for the camera’s most common features.

There are the Menu, Playback and Delete buttons, a directional pad and two zoom controls. The most notable feature is the Share button that one can use to earmark pictures and videos for various social networks-Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube etc. When the camera gets connected to the computer, it automatically uploads the photos and videos. The camera contains a 2.4 inch LCD screen and has a slighly low resolution. However for basic purposes of framing and reviewing, the LCD screen works.

The lens on the camera is a fixed focus, 1.3 meters-infinity-lens which is definitely not the best in the market. The lens does not posess any optical image stabilization, which accounts for blurry images in poor light conditions. The user interface is extremely simple, as is the case with all of EasyShare models. There are a lost of scene modes to choose from to shoot close up shots,portraits or twilight moments. Performance : The USP of the camera is its waterproof ability. One can easily take pictures or videos within 10 m of water. The sport is astonishingly fast ,especially for the price it comes in.One can turn on and take a picture in approximately 2 seconds. However, the camera does show a ;ag when scrolling through the menu. The sport shoots only VGA-resolution videos and has the capability of autofocus during video recording. The videos are recorded as .MPG files and can also be uploaded in social networking sites.

Bottomline : The very inexpensive Kodak EasyShare Sport waterproof point-and-shoot digital camera is inexpensively priced. It’s a easy to use but lacks some elemental features that limit its usefulness.

To start with the quality of camera, it is impressive with a well-built metal design. So there is no compromise about the safety. But the design could have been more attractive. Handling is bit difficult for a new user. The click button has to be press hard for the preview or the click. However, the menu and settings button are easy to handle. Many shooting modes are available which is good on a low-priced camera. But still night mode is not satisfactory.

The fireworks mode is amazing. The fireworks pictures come out very clearly when captured with every single detail of the fire Fringes are pretty catchy for a point and shoot camera. Just go to a fireworks show and try it at your best.

Another interesting mode is sunset mode. This works best in early mornings and the evenings. Orange shades will be clear on every picture you take in these timings. With the same mode, it works wonder under lights. The best will be at the party lights. The output quality will be similar to DSLR’s click. Macro mode is something you will love in this camera. Water bubbles, snow or dew drops and the pollen grains will look more realistic than any other point and shoot camera. Just maintaining 5cms distance will give you a perfect outcome on this LENS. Using the Automatic mode may seem like a wide angle capture, when any long object is spotted. The quality of picture is very good for 12 Mega pixel shot and the resolution is very high at a maximum of 4000 x 3000.

For computer wallpaper lovers, this camera is pretty good to make their desktop beautiful of their own. Floral captures will be the best of all. The timer mode also enables AiAF feature unlike some other cameras and hence, Face detection for Indoor and portrait captures are very effective. The blink detection is an additional feature in this range of cameras and it is very useful especially while capturing kids. The underwater-mode could have been better. However this is a new try in this range of cameras. You will need more light if you go just more than one feet inside water. A direct daylight will give you a best quality image, though the light enabled captures at night will not have much effect on the quality output. But still its compromising for its price tag.

Drawbacks: One of the main drawback is the Lens protection. There is no proper lens protection for this product and hence you may have the fear of damaging the lens. The other things is the weight of the camera. It nearly weighs around 200 grams which is comparatively higher than other cameras of this range. There aren’t any other noted drawbacks on a brand new camera. Hence, the product is worth for its prize with some of the amazing features. However, we have to wait to get more reviews about the water-proof usability. A best choice for this Budget.
